Textile recycling is the process by which old clothing and other textiles are recovered for reuse or material recovery.
Donating clothes & other textiles can help people who cannot afford clothes, help disaster victims, help the environment and can also help keep your house organized.
Recycling clothing helps the environment in a similar way recycling bottles, paper and cans do.
WI hope to raise awareness about textile choices and support environmentally preferable processes, practices and materials from the start to finish.
Upcycling helps reduce CO2 emissions by using old materials instead of new ones. In fact, for every ton of discarded textiles reused, 20 tons of CO2 is prevented from entering the atmosphere.
WI aims to promote sustainable innovation and creativity by developing discarded materials into innovative, chic and market ready fashion apparel.

Sustainable Ideas & Counting...
We are committed to being Agents of the Environment by striving to reduce and reuse textile waste in Trinidad & Tobago. We intend to align all our processes with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.
Textiles have a large carbon footprint and it takes a significant amount of energy and water to produce these textiles. As such we will provide a Closed-loop Recycling System on materials to reduce the amount of textile waste in our landfills.
"Philanthropy means the love of humanity or the desire to promote the welfare of others." We believe strongly in positive collaboration to ensure our impact is a meaningful one on the lives of many locally and internationally.
